Pilot-less Drones
Military aviation started a while before World War 1, but the industry boomed once WW1 started. The first unmanned drone was called the Kettering Bug, built by Orville Wright and Charles F. Kettering. By today's standards though, it is seen more as a guided missile than a drone. Pilot-less drones were used to send bombs or scout enemy areas out. The purpose of these drones was to bomb people and scout out enemy positions. Yes it did improve lives because these drones helped the troops find the enemies. But they did not improve lives whenever it crashed, and they would not get information they needed. It didn't help the people who were getting spied/bombed in either. The negative impacts were that sometimes the drones failed, didn't work, or didn't even hit their mark if conditions weren't calculated correctly.
